Aug 18, 2022
A few weeks ago I received an email from Las Fotos Project to let me know that someone from their community had nominated me and that the Foto Awards jury had chosen my trajectory to receive the Advocacy Award, 2022, this award seeks to honor power in photojournalism and/or the use of photography for community advocacy & social justice. I feel very grateful for this recognition that teenagers in the diaspora and people who collaborate in this initiative in Los Angeles have chosen my work as an inspiration and deserving of this award.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

For those of you who will be in L.A. in mid-October, and would like to chat, write me! See you there!
